Big Sur After Rain is one of our most successful products. People have asked for us to make it as a perfume, but I really don’t dig candle oils on the skin. So I took the dominant accord, and many of the same materials and fashioned them into a foggy meditation on coastal California eucalyptus groves that sits wonderfully on the ol’ epidermis.

Eucalyptus is one of my top five favorite smells in the world. The oil alone cannot encapsulate its real essence – balmy, green, woody, and deeply spicy. I hope this perfume captures this for all the seekers and tweakers out there.

Olfactory Notes

Eucalyptus

Real eucalyptus in the world is profoundly green with a deep floral spice. The oil enlivens us but must be dosed accordingly and rounded or else can make something smell like the spa.

Pacific Spray

A sweeter ozonic throw than the salty Pacific with green Kelp notes.

Magnolia

Magnolia doesn’t give up its oil for use in perfume and must be reconstructed. Magnolia is narcotic. In spring it displays a bouquet of husky white flower with lemon overtones. Smells very “mom” to me and like fancy skin cream.
